HISTORICAL SKETCH
The Vietnamese Evangelical Church established nearly 90 years ago has been developing the work of equipping and training people to serve the Lord. It has played a very vital and decisive role in sustaining and enlarging the Church. The Alliance Evangelical Divinity School began in 1919 as Da-Nang Bible School, then to the Nha-Trang Biblical-Theological Institute until 1976. In that period of time, almost all the leaders and pastors of the Vietnamese Evangelical Church in Vietnam and overseas were trained.
After over 25 years of interruption due to the situation in Vietnam, the Alliance Evangelical Divinity School of the Vietnamese District of the Christian & Missionary Alliance was opened to succeed this noble tradition, especially to train and supply pastors and Christian workers for the Vietnamese Evangelical Church in Vietnam and overseas for the 21st century.
