CERTIFICATE IN CHRISTIAN MINISTRY
(36 units)
Objectives:
The Certificate in Christian Ministry is designed for those desiring to serve the Lord effectively in the various ministries of a local Christian evangelical Church. This may include the Sunday school, Small groups, Men and Women Fellowships, and other related ministries. Students may complete a part of the program through distance learning. All units completed in this program are transferable to the Baccalaureate degree program at Alliance Evangelical Divinity School.
Admission Requirements:
All applicants who want to enroll in the Certificate in Christian Ministry program must meet all of the following requirements:
• Member in good standing at a local evangelical Church;
• High school graduation;
• Proficiency in Vietnamese;
• Two references; one from a pastor;
• A personal testimony of spiritual experience as well as a desire of Christian ministry.
Graduation Requirements:
The Certificate in Christian Ministry (CCM) will be granted to the student who has satisfactorily completed at least 36 units as follows:
• 24 units of Bible and Theology (required)
• 12 units of Bible and Ministry (electives)
In addition, the student must maintain at least a 2.0 grade point average. Time limit for the degree is 2 to 4 years, beginning on the date of student’s first registration for CCM courses at the Alliance Evangelical Divinity School.
Transfer Policy
Up to first three courses or 6 units of the Theological Education of Extension (TEE) program are transferable to the Certificate in Christian Ministry program.
