► ASSOCIATE OF BIBLICAL STUDIES (A.B.S.)
Objective
The purpose of the Associate of Biblical Studies (A.B.S.) program is to equip its graduates with a basic knowledge of Bible, Theology and Ministry so that they are able to serve the Lord in certain positions at local Churches or to enrich their spiritual growth.
Admission Requirements
All applicants who want to enroll in the Associate of Biblical Studies program must meet all of the following requirements:
• 18 years of age or older;
• High School diploma or its academic equivalent;
• Vietnamese/English proficiency;
• Member in good standing at an evangelical Church.
Graduation Requirements
The Associate of Biblical Studies degree will be granted to the student who has satisfactorily completed at least 66 units as follows:
• 45 units of Bible and Theology (required)
• 21 units of Bible and Ministry (electives)
In addition, the student must maintain at least a 2.0 grade point average. The time limit for the degree is 2 to 5 years, beginning on the date of the student’s first registration for A.B.S. courses at the Alliance Evangelical Divinity School.
Transfer Policy
Students are allowed to transfer up to 15 units of general education studies from state-recognized institutions as electives into the program. In addition, up to 12 units or the first six volumes of TEE (Theological Education by Extension) are transferable to the program as electives.
